7 Questions about Cap d’Agde I keep Getting Asked FAQ

Last Updated on November 15, 2023

Relax in France

I heard that a lot of people go pierced and many shaved.

A large number of naturists like to shave their pubic areas and several also enjoy piercing their private parts. While there is a high percentage of people on the beach who ate shaved, there are also several who are not.

The beauty of Cap d’Agde is that it is what you want it to be and this includes how you wish to present yourself on the beach in terms of body hair.

Some people ask if they should get body parts pierced whilst at the resort and my personal recommendation would be to do piercing a few weeks before your Cap d’Agde vacation.

The reason for this is because the pierced area might need to be left alone and the sun and saltwater might irritate the pierced area if you get it done at the resort. If you do want to get piercings done whilst at the resort though, there is usually at least one store in Port nature where you can get this done.

What is the ratio of Clothed vs Unclothed people?

Once you arrive on the actual beach itself, you will find that close to 98% or so people are nude. The main purpose and point of being here is that this is a nudist’s beach and most people respond accordingly.

Once you leave the beach you start to walk around the resort you will start to see as many as half the people dressed and this for example on weekends is because many locals enter the resort on a day pass and they have to dress when they leave the beach, to get ready to go back to the textile area.

You also might get some people for example who are on their first day and just summing up the courage to get naked (this might perhaps be you in the first few hours).

“Nudists have a unique fashion sense!”

Is the resort good for swingers?

Cap d’Agde is not Fun4Two in Holland, but many people nonetheless have an excellent time and many swingers really enjoy their annual vacation to Cap d’Agde.

There are several clubs within the naturism resort and several of these have playrooms. (Go to the nightlife chapter to learn more).

There is also one of France’s biggest swingers clubs within driving distance of Cap d’Agde, at the club named ‘Extasia’.

Discothèque Extasia

  • Address: Chemin Jean Belaval, 34850, France
  • Telephone: +33 4 67 77 96 46
  • Website: www.club-extasia.com

Within the naturism resort at Cap d’Agde, most of the clubs have playrooms and swinging takes place.

The resort as you get bored of me saying perhaps is whatever you want it to be and if you want to swing you can swing.

Many swingers stay in ‘Hotel Eve – www.hoteleve.com and some of the other hotels, in addition to many of the privately rented apartments.

How do I find Airport Transfers to the Resort

You can find airport transfers to the resort via A2A – learn more.

Is the resort suitable for single men and gay men?

Many single men go to Cap d’Agde and many have an excellent time and seem to have no problem mixing with others and enjoying themselves.

Some single men on the other hand find that they have a problem meeting other people. Different people, in other words, speak of different experiences.

This question refers to single men rather than women and that is because single women do not seem to visit Cap in large numbers.

What is the downside to the resort?

Aesthetically it can perhaps be argued that the resort is a bit of a concrete jungle and the buildings very outdated and of the look of the 1970s.

This is perhaps true and Cap d’Agde is not going to win awards for architecture. Having said that and as previously mentioned, most visitors to Cap go there for the naturism, beach, and social scene.

Does the resort have a beach? Is it any good?

The beach is a fantastic part of the resort and the experience at Cap d’Agde.

Approximately 1 mile long, the sandy beach is long and wide and would be considered a great beach regards less of whether the resort were naturists or not.

The water is not deep unless you walk out a little bit i.e. it is a good beach for walking in and searching for shellfish for example if you are not a good swimmer. The water also tends to be warm.

I have heard about the Mistral Winds

Is this a problem and will it affect my holiday at Cap d’Agde?

The winds can sometimes be quite strong on the Agde coast but overall, it should not overly affect your vacation or holiday.

What some people do is take something to protect their eyes and body from the sand, in case it does get a bit windy.

Some people choose to have a sunbed which they can lie on its side and beside them to block the sand, whilst you could also choose to lie on the sunbed so that you are off of the sand.

Overall this should not really be a problem thus I personally do not worry too much about this.

Sunbeds and chairs can, by the way, be bought in one of the souvenir shops in the resort.

For guys: What if I get a boner

This can happen but it is rare. If it is the first time you have been on a naturist site you may be wondering how your instrument will react.

What should I do if I get an erection is one of the most common questions men ask.

The reality is that for some reason, most men rarely find that anything obvious happens in public.

If you do get a hard-on then consider covering yourself with a towel and just try and be discreet until the problem is solved.

These things can happen and if you act appropriately to try and cover the problem you should be fine.

What is the best area to sleep?

This may seem a very open question given the options available to each of us planning a holiday in the resort.

You have the hotels, a large number of apartments, and the camping area (composed of camp spots, chalets, and mobile homes) – and yet this is a very common question and it is not surprising given that there are so many options and unless you have previously visited the resort, the decision can be confusing.

Staying a few days – The choice really comes down to your interest and what you need.

If you are just staying a few days and want to get a taster for the resort and what it is about and you are not even sure if you will like it, then one of the hotels which offer any day arrival and any number of days stay can be the best option.

In this case, Natureva Spa, the Oz Inn Hotel or Hotel Eve, Jardin Eden, and the other hotels within the resort are perhaps the best choice.

One week – If you are planning to stay on the resort for exactly 7 days, then the apartments are a great choice or you can rent one of the 2, 4 or 6 person chalets in the campsite.

Longer than one week – If you want to stay one or two months or perhaps even the whole season, the best option, in my opinion, is to stay in the campsite and to rent one of the camp spots and to make yourself a good set up using tents and your vehicle. Alternatively working towards getting a permanent spot for a caravan or mobile home can be an ideal solution.

The choice of accommodation type can also be affected by your lifestyle.

The campsite is excellent for families, whilst some of the hotels such as Hotel Eve better suit couples and swingers, whilst the apartments tend to be popular with a cross range of guests.

What do people in the evenings?

It can get cold but that does seem to deter many in that this is Cap d’Agde and the nightwear which many women choose to wear, is part of the fun.

Get prepared to see some very erotic costumes on display and some outfits which leave little to the imagination.

If you are a woman and wondering what to wear, you can get away pretty much with literally anything and if it does get chilly, you can sit indoors in one of the bars or clubs.
