Strip games are regular board games that have been adapted; for every point lost, the loser removes an article of clothing. As a rule, the game continues until the loser has nothing else to remove. Some board games lend themselves more easily than others. Here are five of the most easily adaptable.
This is a game for two.
Each player gets 16 pieces; one King, one Queen, two Bishops, two Rooks, two Knights, and eight pawns.
A complex set of rules dictates how each piece can move, whether forwards, sideways, or diagonally, several spaces, or jumping over the opponent’s piece.
In normal chess, the game is won when the opponent is “checkmated”; in strip chess, since an article of clothing is removed every time the other player takes a piece, the purpose is to take as many pieces as possible.
This game can be played by up to four people.
A Scrabble set consists of a board with 15 squares in a row by 15 squares in a column, and100 tiles, each of which contains a letter.
Each letter has a point value, depending on how easy it is to use in a word; the board has squares in differing colors that hold values as well.
The players take turns forming words on the board with the tile, the purpose being to gain as many points as possible.
In Strip Scrabble, anyone who forms a word that is worth less than 5 points must remove an article of clothing.
This game requires 2 – 4 players; more can play, but it gets awkward.
A plastic mat containing 16 circles in 4 colors (green, blue, yellow, and red) is placed on the floor.
An arrow attached to a small board is spun, and whatever color the arrow points to indicates where each player puts a foot or hand.
Soon, all the players are jumbled up on the mat.
Whoever falls must remove a piece of clothing.
Although Music Box is not a striptease board game, but it is loads of fun.
The more people there are playing it, the merrier.
Everyone stands in a circle, and a music box is passed around while it is playing. When the music stops, the one holding the box removes an article of clothing.
The box is rewound, and the game begins again.
This famous old game can be played by up to 12 people.
Two dice are rolled, the player advances his or her piece the number of spaces the dice indicates, draws a Community Chest or Chance card depending on the square the piece lands on, and follows the instructions on the card.
Opportunities are provided to buy properties, which are rented whenever another player lands on the owner’s space.
Someone who can’t pay rent, or who lands in the Jail space, must remove an article of clothing.
